Sonya Kontorovich, LCPC

I'm very happy I found her for my 14 year old daughter who struggles with depression and anxiety. I'm very pleased with her approach to therapy; especially the accountability she expects from the patient. I like that she is very honest and doesn't sugar coat issues. She gets down to the heart of the issues right away and asks a lot of questions instead of talking at the patient. She obviously loves what she does and it shows.

I've been going to Sonya for years. I have followed to a few places and happily drive from Waukegan to see her every week. She has changed my life in so many ways. I don't know what I would have done if i hadn't found her. She is caring and professional and creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere to be in. 100% would reccomend!

I've had the fortune of meeting Sonya this year through a recommendation from a friend, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made in finding the right mental health professional. It's never easy opening up to a stranger about personal stresses in life, but Sonya has such a comforting and understanding personality which made communicating very seamless. Highly recommend.

I am comfortable sharing anything with her, because she listens to me with empathy. The absolute worst and most vile type of counselor. Arrogant, pushy, selfish and full of lies. Whatever you do DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN as a counselor. Find someone else. You'll be way better off. Zero stars.
