Sonya Cottrell, PA-C

Sonya has been my provider for five years. I trust her input and decisions. She is very thorough, is attentive to my questions and concerns. She never appears distracted or tries to rush my appointment. One of the most important things I like about her is that she is female and understands me as a woman.

The responses from Sonya and office staff when I have asked for a refill of much needed anxiety and insomnia medication have left me so upset and ANXIOUS that I’ve been relying on drugstore sleeping pills that don’t work and leave me groggy rather than scheduling an appointment. Being given 10 doses at a time is unreasonable. And being treated poorly when asking for a refill after 3 months is inexcusable. I have to schedule an appointment every 10 doses? I have never felt so ashamed asking for help. Everything was great until the topic of these meds came up. There is a reason that they exist, some of us, unfortunately, NEED them. I’m left feeling like I have to look for somewhere else to go for help.

no common sense she keeps repeating the same blood tests over and over and dont even tell you what your last ones ment and cant even order you a echocardiogram ultrasound

Sonya Cotrell is awesome! Very thorough, very personable. Made me very comfortable. Definitely recommend!

She is amazing. Never do I feel that she is too busy to listen to me.

I was so surprised when I tried to schedule an appointment with Sonya and discovered she was no long with Sound Family Medicine. I am so disappointed as she was the reason I changed insurance carriers so that I could remain with her as my provider. She was so knowledgeable and caring and I felt so comfortable with my health issues in her hands. This has been very upsetting and with no communication from SFM until I tried to make an appt.
