My elderly mother had the misfortune of Dr. Townes care over a 6 month period of time, and her experience was both frightening and deplorable! She prescribed medications to treat symptoms that my Mother never reported, and then ordered a breathing test to see if she was experiencing any side effects from them! She then billed my Mother's insurance company for 35 minute visits when she was never in the room more than 5 minutes. The kicker was when she admitted that she hadn't even requested the test results from the breathing test 6 weeks later when my Mother returned for a follow-up visit. Needless to say, we informed her that we were unhappy with her level of care and would be seeking out a new doctor. Please beware, especially if you have a very good insurance plan!!!
