Dr. Simeon Lao, PT

After having 2 MRI's and seeing 4 Neurosurgeons who wanted to remove a nerve sheath tumor between my L4 & L5, fuse them and install screws, I got a referral to see Dr. Lao for an assessment. When I pointed to where my pain was, he immediately said, 'That's not even where your L4 & L5 are located on your spine!! I had entirely different issues that were the cause of my back pain, and am now beginning therapy for the REAL issues! Physical Therapists are like coaches...they're not there to tell you what you want to hear, or allow you to stop a certain stretch or exercise because it's too difficult for you. Also, therapy is a PROCESS! Most times you're going to feel worse before you feel better, because of the injury-correction process. It's just like the start of a new fitness program....you're going to feel soreness and pain until your body adjusts to the results.And remember...IT TAKES TIME!!! You're not going to have 6 pack abs after doing a few days of crunches. GO SEE HIM!

Does not properly evaluate, I was in more pain after PT than when I came in. After 5 days of excruciating pain, he misdiagnosed the issue never even addressing it after I told him what I thought it was. I went to another PT who immediately evaluated and addressed it as to what I thought it was. I am no longer experiencing the pain.

Dr. Lao helped me with bursitis in my shoulders so bad I could not get a wallet from my pocket. I then convinced my wife to switch from another provider with whom she was making little progress on another problem that she had. Her progress with Dr. Lao was both immediate and significant. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Neglectful, condescending, pretentious.... honestly the perfect definition of a physical therapist who is not going to heal my shoulder properly after a major shoulder surgery in colorado.... my full review can be found on google.

He has done a wonderful job of using physical therapy to keep me from having to do surgery or having to get nerve blocks.

Results are what really count. With Dr. Lao you get that plus friendly clear explanations, a courteous staff and prompt service.
