I found out about Shirley…in 2012… I contacted Shirley in Ouray, as she was a practitioner who believed in hormonal therapy, and I could not find a new primary doctor who would do so. She has always been approachable and ready to listen. Prevention is her motto, and she is there to help to keep our bodies working the best for as long as we can!! I really appreciate her professional, yet warm and personal service!!

Shirley Olson’s cheerful competence makes my husband and me look forward to meeting with her. She is welcoming, with excellent listening skills. She is willing to try alternative approaches if the patient isn’t ready to try what she suggests. Her computer skills are excellent, and she types a record of whatever was suggested or decided while the patient is still in the room, so that pertinent information is available to the patient and nothing is forgotten. This medical office is very efficient.

Best Dr. I have ever had. Won’t see anyone but her. She is caring. She won’t stop looking till she finds what is wrong with you. We need more Dr’s like her. I have an unusual condition; one that most Doctors are not familiar with. I had been to a number of Doctors and allergists, but to no avail. They treated the symptoms with drugs that didn’t help the condition but did make me feel worse. I finally found Shirley Olsen, and she is amazing! I would NEVER RECOMMEND NURSE PRACTIONER OLSON TO ANYONE. It took 2 months for appointment date for a physcial.I get there and nurse Olson told me this was a meet her visit? I was upset. 285 to meet a doctor? They use wrong codes for billing. The office manager Corrine hung up on me and when I called back Kim told me she is the owner? Unprofessional business wow. Watch your charges

I feel really lucky to have found Shirley as a practitioner. I have seen many doctors in different specialties over the last few years and each time I left feeling defeated...however when I told Shirley what was going on, she acknowledged what I was saying and I felt I was truly being heard by someone. In fact, she pin pointed what was actually going on a full year before any specialist ever gave me a diagnosis. She is very good at what she does and she is knowledgable on a broad level.

It is rare to find someone with Shirley Olson's knowledge and listening skills in the medical field. If you want someone who listens to your issues, can interact on a medical level that you can understand, and offer you medical options that fit your needs, Shirley is the person with whom you need to schedule your next appointment. I am very happy with her care.

I felt like she was learning along with me, rather than giving me solutions. Extensive testing with no results. She would not respond to email even though she said that was the best way to communicate.
