Sheri Galens, LPC

Sheri is a nice person but has not created an effective therapeutic space. I saw that she listed trauma as a specialty on an online profile, but in session she told me she is not trauma-informed, which is very frustrating because finding a therapist that is a good fit is hard enough even with accurate information. She shares a lot of her own life, past and present during sessions. When asked specific questions about healing techniques, she often googles it and reads from websites out loud. It's frustrating to share so much personal painful information only to have a counselor relay their own difficulties rather than treat my issues with delicacy.
