Shasta Van Sickle, PA-C

I was very fortunate to have been referred to Shasta van Sickle, PA-C., Physician Assistant to Dr. Michael Horner. I have seen her several times over the past several weeks. She is extremely personable and knowledgeable about both non-surgical and surgical approaches. She is patient and has excellent communication skills. After I explained the leg pain that I was having, she ordered an MRI of my spine and arranged for me to take spinal steroid injections. She gave me an overview of the surgical techniques, even describing a surgical tool that might be helpful for the particular issue with my spine. I highly recommend her.

Shasta has helped so much with my ongoing spinal issues. She has helped me with my pain, gotten diagnostic information so we can make good decisions and offered options and strategies for the future. She is calm and friendly and lets you ask questions that get answered thoroughly. She has a lot of information that she shares in a way that the ordinary person can understand. I recommend her highly.

WARNING- Shasta Vansickle PA-C is the most unprofessional, Rude and rushed demeanor provider I have ever seen. I did not request her but was told she was the PA working with Dr Drewek. Waited three weeks to see her and she walked into the room 1 hour late and apologizing she had to in her words "Put out fires today in the office" and the first thing she said is " I only have 20 minutes with you after he being late to see me". Lack of empathy and care for patients in severe pain. They did a X-ray of the wrong area at first and had to go back in for second correct x-ray because the MA ordered it wrong before seeing PA-C. Shasta said she would prescribe pain medicine and nerve pain medicine for my severe pain and she said possible spin fracture and two days later has not called in the prescriptions nor will respond to my calls or messages. I am now left without medicine and any contact from Shasta.

Shasta has the unique ability to notice items that could be overlooked as I found out! While being treated for back issues, she noticed a weakness in my lower extremities which were not improving. Because of her innate abilities, X-rays showed two disks in two different regions pressing together thereby affecting nerves and increasing the seriousness of the issue. These items are continuing to be worked so standby for more information. She is exceptional in her abilities and skills and would give her 6 stars if I could do so!

Shasta is very compassionate, knowledgeable and a tribute to Panorama. We are very pleased to have interacted with her. Excellent experience!!!
