Sharon Collison, RD

I worked with her around two years ago. I worked extremely hard in my ED recovery, but if I had MINOR slip ups she made me feel like my slip ups erased how hard I was working.

I have thought about leaving a review for a long time, as I do not like to leave negative reviews. But my interaction with Ms. Collison WAS negative and left me in a worse place than when I started with her, and I didn't think that was possible. I was going through grief and had some scary medical issues pop up, the combination of which left me very underweight. I got myself into counseling to deal with the loss of my mom and the anxiety of the health issues, and my therapist recommended Ms. Collison to help with weight gain. She was condescending and suggested I should admit myself to a live in program for people with eating disorders. I was under the care of a GI who eventually found I really did have physical reasons for nausea after eating, and I am now my normal weight, thanks to my own research and eating plan. But my appointment with her left me in tears thinking I was crazy. Not recommended AT ALL.

Condescending and unhelpful. She seems to think you should already know what to eat and when and how much and why, but if I knew all that I wouldn't need a dietician! She seems to like to ask you why you ate a certain thing just so she can make you feel dumb by telling you your reason for choosing it was wrong. And she's frustratingly inconsistent. One visit she'll suggest a food or meal, and the next visit when you tell her you ate it, she'll tell you it wasn't right and here's why.
