Simply the best !
Educated does not mean wise and/or intelligent. Dr. Arend is gifted with all 3 attributes. I tried 3-4 psychs prior to her. She helped me identify and address my strengths/ weaknesses as a person/ parent and those of my spouse . She encouraged me to seek full custody and, had I listened, I would have sought full custody years earlier to our daughter's benefit. I was awarded full custody a few years after I accepted Dr. Arend's advice. She attended a court hearing on her time and a home study on a holiday weekend. Her attention to detail and her genuine interest to help all involved is always directed toward the best interest of the children. I met Dr. Arend 22 years ago. I don't recall how I found Dr. Arend, but my daughter's life and my life is better for it.

Dr. Arrend on multiple occasions minimized my ex’s abuse, victim blamed me and made excuses for him. She had to change and resubmit her report three times because it was so discombobulated with spelling errors and miscalculated psychological test. every time I met with her I was crying in my car at the end for at least a half an hour before I could drive away. when I left my abusive ex I was positive and strong and felt good. I was proud of myself. She on the other hand tore me down and caused a severe depression. She was even so low as to highlight an event from college when I was raped in her report. like it had anything to do with the current situation other than to highlight my pattern as being the “victim” therefore it must be my fault. Her plan for re-integration between my ex and our son (Who he abandoned and has not seen for and has not seen for three years now) was so insufficient we had to hire a second expert to analyze her report and write a supplement costing us more money

Was a CFI on my case and recommended joint parental decision making with the abuser and sexual assaulter that I left. Her "recommendations" have had major repercussions and negative impacts on my child's life, his health, and on my family's life. Needs to be regulated and not used as a CFI.
