She’s exceptional!

I immediately felt uncomfortable entering her office. It did NOT feel like a warm, friendly, environment. She asked me if I feel stable and I said I did (compared to how I’ve been the past 8 years, this is the most stable I’ve been). 10 minutes later she asked if I’m depressed and I said yes. She replied “first you said you were stable, now you’re saying you’re depressed, so which one is it?” She said I should NOT be going to college for social work if I can’t control my emotions. She doesnt know the details, what triggers my emotions, and assumed that I have zero self control. I asked her if the dose of my medication should increase when school starts to help with my anxiety and she said no which I was fine with. Because I felt uncomfortable with her, I had an appointment with the other prescriber. She intervened and said I only want to switch because I want my dose raised,(didn’t believe it was because I felt mistreated by her) and I can only see her or receive services elsewhere.
