Shannon Ballou, FNP-C

I wanted a PCP closer to my home so chose Shannon Ballou at LCHC Eastside. She is very thorough, listens to my concerns and explains well. She recalled concerns from prior appointment or took great notes to help recall addressing everything well. I had a follow up appointment this morning to review lab results, and she went over everything with me side by side and gave me copies of results, we got a plan in action for my prediabetes and follow up appointment scheduled. So many providers these days rush you in and out, only half listen to you, don't chart well, don't remember you, etc. I have only been to her twice but can already tell she's a keeper! Thank you for providing great healthcare!

Let me start by saying I have yet to see her. I have my first appt 12/29. That being said, I was just released from the hospital on oxygen and with needed wound care for which the Physician Hospitalist followed me in house for 4 days, 96 hours. Arrangements were made for home health prior to release. Now home, the Home Health Nurse cannot start till my PCP signs off on it. I am not a happy camper to have to wait a week to see her before continuing wound care. She did not bother to call me, talk to me, check on me in any way before blocking the Home Health. I just hope the wound care I won't get will not be a detriment.

I highly recommend Shannon as a primary health care provider. She is friendly and very thorough. She takes the time to listen to her patients and ensures that the appropriate diagnostic tests are ordered. She works with the patient in coming up with a treatment plan. I see her at the Eastside Lawton Community Health Center.
