Shadman Habibi, CNM

I had Shadman while a patient of the midwives of UCLA. She always took extra time to explain and sit with me and my partner. When I had to be induced her confidence and counsel during the hard parts of my labor helped calm and push me. I credit her and Stacy with helping me have such a positive birth experience even when it hadn’t gone how I had hoped (with having to get an induction). They were both warm and steady and I felt very lucky to have both of them attending our birth. Would highly recommend her.

I do not recommend Shadman Habibi as a midwife. She is highly unprofessional and condescending. She will not respect or listen to your wishes, but will instead openly express her disagreement, and provide her unsolicited personal opinions. Stay away from Shadman Habibi as a midwife.

Most unprofessional person. Ruined and scarred my birth experience for life. I lost so much blood because of her negligence that I had to get a blood transfusion. During active labor she was not present and left the room saying push as hard as you can without any assistance. As per her this never would have happened if I had chosen her throughout my pregnancy, was pretty upset about me taking an epidural and that ticked her off.

Shadman delivered my son in 2006. I did not expect to have a midwife deliver my baby, however, when given the option I accepted it. I am so happy I did.She was professional, nurturing, and very knowledgable. I wanted an epidural and she know exactly how long to check to see if I was dilated and know when to have it administered so it would have maximum effect.I would highly recommend Shadman as a midwife.
