I saw him after he was recommended by my mother because my other doctor was not listening to me. I wrote everything down that I was experiencing. Some of the symptoms were random dizziness, chest tightness on one side, pressure under ribs on the same side, and daily headaches. I also wanted to ween myself off of Prilosec and wanted to know how to safely do so. He said all of my symptoms were natural aging. I’m only in my early 40s. When I asked if I could be referred to have a scoping of my stomach so I could find out exactly what was going on he said no because they wouldn’t scope me anyway because I’m not throwing up. Well I made an appointment on my own with a gastroent. And guess what, the doctor immediately wanted to scope me. It turned out I have a huge hiatal hernia which is casing my breathing problems. And my other symptoms were due to a work related neck injury causing pinched nerves. I’m tired of doctors treating me like a hypochondriac when they are just lazy and ignorant.
