Dr. Sarah Erwin, OD

Dr. Erwin’s Tech did multiple tests on my eyes without speaking or explaining what she was doing. She then put me in another room for more tests and told me I had glaucoma, cataracts, and narrow margins. The TECH told me that dilating my eyes with narrow margins could cause permanent damage. The TECH offered a milder dilation and said I could do it or not. I opted NOT since I had not actually spoken with Dr. Erwin and was VERY uncomfortable with the lack of professionalism and the multiple diagnoses by the TECH. I was then asked to sign a form PRIOR to speaking with Dr. Erwin saying I was acting against the doctor’s advice…though I NEVER spoke with Dr. Erwin. So…sign a form THEN get the doctor’s advice and diagnosis. Guess you are supposed to trust the TECH who rushes through the protocol, doesn’t properly take a history, and makes her own diagnoses, even telling me that I needed surgery.Left sitting alone for some time, I decided to leave. Dr. was outside the door and said nothing.
