Extremely Unprofessional
The entire time I went to our appointments, I never once received actual therapy. In the Army I was suffering from extremely toxic leadership, bullying, and therapist abuse, and was assigned to him because I was reporting my abusers. At every appointment I tried to talk to him about it, but he wouldn't let me speak. Instead he pulled out a workbook and tried to teach me about 'cognitive distortions'. When I asked to leave Fort Eustis Behavioral Health in order to receive proper therapy somewhere else, he wouldn't let me. I even had to resort to phone calls with him because going there was causing extreme distress and after every appointment I left having panic attacks. At no point in time did he ever treat me with respect. Clearly this type of job is not for him.
