Ruth Saunders, FNP

I saw NP Ruth Saunders today at the multnomah county health department and had such a great experience. She not only made me feel supported and heard but she offered solutions and appropriate tests to manage my care. I was nervous because I have never been to a health department and wasn’t sure what to expect, but she really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I feel like she covered all of the bases and offered me the most comprehensive care I have ever received. I would 10 out of 10 recommend NP Ruth Saunders for any women’s health care needs. Thank you!

SHE IS THE WORST AND SHOULD PROBABLLY FIND ANOTHER PERFESSION. MAYBE RETAKE HER MEDICAL EXAMS AGAIN. HALF THE TIME SHE DOESNT LISTEN AND JUST WANTS TO PERSCRIBE MEDICATIONS FOR WHAT SHE THINKS IS WORNG. I FEEL SHE HAS GIVEN ME DIFFERENT ANTIBOTICS FOR THE SAME INFECTION. I HAVE BEEN ON THESE SAME ANTIBOTICS FOR THE PAST YEAR, I'VE LEARNED THAT THESE MEDS CAN CAUSE CANCER, I HAVE RECENTLY LEARNED THAT I MAY HAVE BREAST CANCER NOW. GLAD TO SAY I HAVE ESCAPED HER "CARE" CURRENT PATIENTS BEWARE!

Today was my first appointment with Nurse Ruth Saunders. I have diabetes and liver issues, and my experience at a previous clinic (Neighborhood Health Center) was terrible. I decided to take a chance and see Nurse Saunders, and I’m so glad I did. She was incredibly intelligent and professional, immediately offering to run tests to assess my liver condition—something I had been requesting unsuccessfully at the previous clinic.While waiting for the test results, she thoughtfully suggested adjusting my medication quantities to reduce the frequency of my trips to CVS, so I wouldn't need to go as often between analysis periods. I am completely satisfied with the care I received from her.P.S. A review from four years ago doesn’t do justice to the outstanding care I received today. My experience with Ruth Saunders far exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Ruth Saunders!

She was unable to answer my questions about my health concerns, made me feel judged and I left in tears. My previous provider was an NP and I was looking forward to this visit, now I feel like I’d rather see a real physician who has more training/education. I’m sure Ruth is good at wrapping a sprained ankle but find a different provider if you wish to discuss something more complex.
