The other reviews here are correct. He has been good for me off and on. I’ve had both good and fair experiences. His primary job is to prescribe meds and that is what you will get. Little time for counseling and only at the end of the appointment. I recommend seeing a counselor along with visits because med prescribing is his area. He will ask how you are doing but his time seems limited for digging deeper into bigger problems. When my meds were stable and unchanged for a period of time, I was referred by him back to my regular provider only. My friend loves him tho. She, like me, sees a counselor besides. You probably need both for bigger problems.

Terrible provider! Rude, condescending, and care about his patients. He prescribes medications but does not follow up, doesn’t do recommended bloodwork to check medications levels. Getting medication refills is next to impossible and takes several weeks and multiple phone calls even after requesting refills through pharmacy and MyChart. If a medication is not working he has no problem changing medications but can’t seem to remember what medications he has tried and failed. You have to constantly remind him to do his job. Your mental health is not a priority with this provider!

Russ is THE best mental health provider I've ever been to. He knows his specialty! He is friendly, always willing to answer questions, and is super personable. I would recommend him to anyone.

He chooses to only manage meds, so that's all he does. He refused to discuss FMLA paperwork, much less sign off on it - he said that he only discusses meds. Not a good provider.

He listens and explains things very well. He is more than competent in his field.

Russ is by far the worst provider. He's rude, disrespectful, and condescending. Doesn't listen to anything you have to say and treats you like you're stupid. Absolutely does not care about patients. He really should not be in the medical field. I would give zero stars if possible. Please don't waste your time and money with him. Find another provider...you will be glad you did!
