Recently, I had a very close friend reach out to Mr. Lawler with an emergency. She expressed interest in meeting with him to help mediate a dispute with her mother. Mr. Lawler, after hearing my friend's request simply responded with "sorry ma'am, I'm booked two months out", and after hearing that response I was shocked. I am an advocate for therapy and we spent extensive time locating and researching a therapist that she felt comfortable with.To be met with that response just reaffirmed the negative thoughts she had about her experiences with therapy. As a friend I was devastated. This is not a review but more of a critique. If you are in the business of mental wellness and want your profession to be taken seriously, monitor how you communicate with a prospective client.
