Dr. Robert Bastaich, OD

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Bastaich for many years. He has provided excellent care. He is thorough and kind. He has always taken the time to answer questions and explain things well. We will continue to see him. Regarding comments about the receptionists in past years, I can understand some of the negativity, as good help can be hard to find. I believe the help is better now. Regarding the doctor being late, I am not sure what the expectation is for some. There are tests that are done by his help before Dr. Bastaich sees you, so if you have an appointment at 10:00 and don't see the doctor until about 10:30, that's about right.

This place is terrible. Arrived for a 10am appointment with apparently 5 other people at 10am. The doctor did not show up until 10:35am, so it took over an hour for a general eye exam. Then when I came back to pick up my contacts; I arrived at 1:45pm to see a sign that they are at lunch. Came back an hour later to see one of their employees on her phone. I knocked and asked for my contacts and she stated that she’s at lunch “read the sign”. Please avoid this place at all cost. Don’t waste your time!

Called the office because there was a misunderstanding involving my order of contact licenses online. Spoke with Dr Bastaich, who proceed to cut me off many times when I was trying to explain why I didn't understand that my contact order was denied by his office. Definitely will not be returning to his establishment.

I had the first appointment of the morning and the doctor showed up 30 minutes late. Receptionists seemed overworked and disgruntled. Doctor yelled at them in front of patients. Will not be returning.

Dr. Baistaich was very accomodating; thorough, and explained his findings in straightforward language. This was my second visit to this office, and I will definitely return again. I referred my spouse and he was equally as pleased.
