Dr Shook is a great guy, easy to get along with and well-qualified to assist people with various issues. The problem is his call screener-secretary who is also his spouse. She shows no empathy, is very elitist and arrogant, is very abrupt and actually nasty, when dealing with patients and callers.

I have seen many psychologists in my day, and Dr. Shook is by far the best. He really took the time to get to know me and listen to me and was very patient. Very experienced and wonderful person. I do often telephone tag his office, as the practice is small and just him and his wife, but they are great about following up with voicemails. Highly highly recommend.

Good guy. I saw Dr Shook when my now-24 year old daughter was a toddler. She was a very difficult child and he was very helpful to me and to her. I would recommend him. He’s pretty mellow, low key.

Takes his time with you. Cares a lot. Has a good head on his shoulders. Has a lot of common sense which is lacking in this field.

Dr. Shook is extremely compassionate, intelligent, empathetic and insightful. He is a wonderful psychologist and facilitated my recovery after years of pain and depression. I'd recommend him to any and every one!!
