Dr. Richard Mackowsky, OD

Reviews in general are miss leading as 100 percent of people who are not happy, take the time to leave a review while patients like myself who have been a patient of his for 26 years are obviously happy as we keep seeing Dr Mackowsky, we just never take the time out of our busy day to write a review. I have moved several times over the years, but no matter the distance to his office, I have made the drive. My current drive time is 28 minutes. I wear both contacts and glasses. Dr Mackowsky has always been patient with me and been thorough to insure my prescription was correct. Contact lenses and glasses have changed so much in 26 years, and Dr Mackowsky has always informed me of the new contact lenses that have come out and let me try them out with sample lenses instead of just adjusting my prescription if needed and prescribing the exact same lenses I was wearing at the time. I highly recommend you give him a try.

Dr. Mackowsky is great. I'd been having problems dialing in a prescription and he noticed some cataracts than had been undetected. He's super friendly and explains stuff in such a way that is easy to understand. I've never had to wait, or had any issues with the facility.

Extremely upset. I called to make an appointment, but the staff was so rude that I make me don't want to come back. I love the Doctor been with him for many years, but his assistants are RUDEEE. I am not sure if I want to come back again because of the rude service his staff provides.

I have always found his service to be excellent and knowledgeable, so much so that even when I moved across town, I still make the trip to come see him.

Maybe its because he went so long without an office assistant, but I found his attitude to be rude and somewhat of a know it all giving answers without hearing the situation throughout. He didn't listen to my issue well before giving feedback. Then when I went to see a specialist what I assume wound up being right and he was wrong. I recommend his wife she is a better active listener.

I have been going see Dr. Mackowsky for 13years now, he's always friendly and informative about my eye health.

Very thorough and kind! Appointments are always on time with friendly staff. Been a patient for about 5 years.

I have found Dr. Mackowsky to be very thorough whether he is examining me for glasses or my glaucoma. I actually transferred to him from an Ophthalmologist with no loss in care. Although he does contact lenses he does not push this solution. He listens.

Had to go back multiple times to get the script just right and he was fairly rude from the get go.
