Horrible Psychological Evaluation for Custody
Richard Adlin submitted a psychological evaluation and testified in a child custody hearing. The official report of the testing was not a professional report. He repeated the story of the party he evaluated as if it were true, yet the story had been shown to be false in a previous hearing. He did not state the validity of the MMPI profile he administered. This is a primary statement that is always iNcluded in a professional report. He gave no data results for the scales of the test. He stated the party has problem personality characteristics that warrants psychotherapy. He refused to give a diagnosis. He stated the party had problems developing healthy relationships with females—the party was attempting to get custody of a female child and he did not acknowledge the risk. He refused to state the psychological ability of the party to raise a child to develop into an emotionally healthy adult. He said this was the responsibility of the court. I don’t recommend him. He was useless.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Adlin?
Dr. Adlin was distracted during my session. He answered his door and talked to a woman that came in the office to see him. He rated me with incompetence even though I explained that I had back surgery the previous week and was still recovering. He did not seem interested in the details. It took months to clear up the incompetency rating given by this physician. Had to get Senators involved to help clear up the rating. Could have been life altering, but, thanks to other MD's it wasn't.
