I recently had an appointment with Winnike, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. During a very emotional and uncertain time in my pregnancy, I felt that her approach lacked the sensitivity and support I needed. While test results were inconclusive, she focused heavily on preparing me for the possibility of a miscarriage, which felt premature and overwhelming given the situation.Additionally, while she offered a vomit bag when I was feeling nauseated, her comment about using it for her children felt out of place and inappropriate during such a vulnerable moment. I needed compassion and a focus on my specific concerns, but instead, I left the appointment feeling unsupported and dismissed.Lastly, I was told to go for a blood draw to determine the viability of my pregnancy a few days later. No order was placed. I was anxious for days, and to have no order on mychart made me feel forgotten and insignificant. The lab had their OB submit the order.
