Dr. Raphael Romero moved to Charleston Neuropsychology. He is either devoid of empathy or has cognitive issues that affect memory or both- in any case it makes him completely unfit to help vulnerable people. I shudder to think what would've happened had I met with him in my teens or 20's when my confidence level was low. Vocally criticized every health professional we discussed. Seemed intimidated I came in with a possible diagnosis from my amazing current therapist. Said he sees 40 patients a week & remembers nothing about them 'which is good because then it's an objective point of view.' Not good for people who are revisiting the worst parts of their lives while repeating trauma bc you don't read notes ahead of time & don't listen. He asked about my mom. Told her she died last year. He said so sorry. Later he asks about her again. I said I told you she was dead already. Grand finale-he hands me a form at the end of the hour and ASKS ME TO HAVE MY DEAD MOTHER FILL IT OUT. RUNNNNN
