Randall Adkins, LPC

I recommended my son, he went to his 1st visit and per call before appointment he should be charging the co-pay only of $60.00 But instead he charged over $120.00. WTH, why say you take insurance but charge what you want? makes no sense to me disappointed.

I went to Randy for 5 months. I was getting stuck in my head and really struggling with anxiety and depression. This last week I went into our session in a great mood; I told him I'd been feeling much better and that I was grateful for his help. I then brought up one issue that had been on my mind. My mother has NCPD and I was attempting to explain to Randy how this was difficult for myself. His response was, "Matthew, don't you think everyone has mothers and fathers?" I told him I felt unheard. What followed was this man I had grown to trust calling me disrespectful and superior. He said the way I smiled and laughed at times when telling a story was "driving him bats". He said he didnt know where to go from here and that he "can't see through all of my hogwash". This came out of nowhere and made me feel betrayed by someone who was supposed to care. He helped me, but I cant reccomend a man who explodes at his client at the drop of a pin. Very unprofessional behavior at the end.

Randy has been the best therapist for our family. We have used him for couples counseling, for our teen daughter and teen son. We have learned so much through his patience and understanding and leading us down the right path. He has been our lifesaver!

I was very disappointed in the office today. I called prior to their opening to cancel a couples counseling appointment because my husband woke up very sick this morning. Even though my husband getting sick wasn't something I could have predicted, they are still charging me a $75 fee. I can understand if a patient did this more than once, but I haven't. I don't think the counselor would have appreciated getting sick from a client and missing work days thereby losing more money!

I am receiving DBT from Randy. He has really helped me to understand personality traits and how to manage and cope with changing my thought process. I now am in a relationship and am doing so well! I owe so much to Randy for helping me to understand my issues and to make changes. He is the est and I have seen a lot of counselors over the past several years!

We choose Mr. Adkins simply because he accepted our insurance. Adkins turned out to have unresolved anger management issues. After the second visit we decided to find a trustworthy, experienced counselor.
