Dr. Rachel Wasserman, PHD

I have been seeing Dr. Wasserman for a few years now. She has helped me through some tough issues and I have always found her very approachable, relatable, nonjudgemental, and affirming. She takes her work very seriously, and I feel that she did an amazing job taking the time to really get to know me. I would recommend her to anyone.

I would disagree with the review above. I have been a patient of Dr. Wasserman for several years, and I find her very empathetic, sympathetic, relatable and compassionate. I have never garnered any type of narcissistic traits from her, nor any thought or idea that she was looking down on me because I am not in the same economic class. Further, there is nothing mentioned in her office, etc that she is from a wealthy father/parents nor does she advertise that. I believe the last review came from a place of misunderstanding and issues internalized by the patient that left them. As with anything make up your own mind about Dr. Wasserman. Use any review with a grain of salt and make your own determinations. What did not work for one patient may work very well for you.

This therapist lacks empathy and understanding. She has narcissistic traits which affects her counseling. Would not reccomend her for anyone. She’s very unrelateable (not everyone had a rich father to send them to an Ivy League University) and looks down upon her patients that don’t have a similar background. Find someone else, she is not worth your time or money.
