Quinton had moved to another practice while I was seeing him. My new psychiatrist I was assigned to went over the charts and records he had for me and looked irritated with how he conducted his work. Within 10 mins she could tell I was depressed and didn't understand why I was on Bipolar meds. She even said that other clients she was assigned from him had similar remarks that I was making. Saw this man for 1.5 years and didn't and felt like he ultimately didn't listen to me

Saw him for a med adjustment after moving to the area. Despite the fact that my history of an eating disorder is clearly in my information AND was verbally explained to him, he had me weigh myself and tell him the number, which made my anxiety about the visit so much worse. His questions were just a series of printed quizzes, and he barely looked up from his computer to actually talk talk to me. When I asked to switch to a female np (heard great thing the about others in the office) he seemed annoyed. He is the least empathetic person I’ve ever met in psychiatry. He also didn’t have any suggestions for my meds or lifestyle that were based in my file or the conversations we had. Gave it three visits just in case I was being too judgmental, but it does not seem worth it to feel that disenfranchised, anxious, and ignored because of an doctor you pay to listen to you. Not to mention he was often late, and would only talk to me for fifteen minutes. Would not recommend this doctor.

When I first sat down with him I immediately asked for a female np and explained that I had PTSD due to being raped and was uncomfortable with men. He ignored it and started going through his list of questions. My level of discomfort skyrocketed and because of that I wasn't able to effectively communicate with him. I told him this and he tried to assure me that he was understanding my symptoms. It wasn't until my next talk with him when he asked how my "paranoia" was doing that I realized he had mistook my level of discomfort with him as me being paranoid of him. Wasn't the case at all, I just knew I would get more out of the process with a woman since I genuinely was not comfortable with him. Unfortunately though, his misjudgment of this greatly effected the care I received. Won't even get into the other issues. Just go with a different mental health provider.
