Dr. Mabe is the BEST
I saw Dr. Mabe for about two years in high school when extremely depressed, in an abusive relationship, and very suicidal. I STILL use this man's strategies to this day. His Cognitive Behavioral Therapy was so helpful and worked wonders for my mental health. Most importantly, he refuses to prescribe medication unless absolutely necessary. So many psychiatrists have been too quick to prescribe harmful meds, but Dr. Mabe makes sure the meds are actually needed before risking any horrible side effects. I was never put on medication while with him, and I never needed to; I was able to make so much progress with the CBT and his support. I wish I could still see him.
