Dr. Paul Hymowitz, PHD

All of the negative reviews are spot on. I wish I'd read them before retaining Hymowitz for a family crisis involving pre-teen. He is personally responsible for turning a bad situation into a nightmare that's created suffering for me, but more importantly, for my daughter. He's imperious, dismissive, apathetic, and lazy. During a phone session, he ate while I was talking and repeatedly cut me off. I understand now why my ex suggested him--$$$

Dy Hymowitz is rude, condescending, and lazy. Values retainer the most. Do not work with this doctor - he is subhuman.

Court appointed Dr. Hymowitz failed to accurately evaluate my spouse during my divorce- His premature judgement nearly placed my children in the hands of a woman whom was recognized to be inappropriate in their presence thereafter he deemed her as a loving and caring parent. I have since had sole custody and my ex has yet to contact the children for several years. My children are thriving and doing well, no thanks to him.

Given the chance to choose between good and bad, right and wrong, Hymowitz would no doubt choose the option that would make him the most money. On my second meeting with him, without him having asked anything about my finances, he declared that he would not "punish the higher earning parent" by allowing the lower earning parent to have "any further privileges", even if it was in the best interest of the child. Record EVERYTHING when you meet this man, it is legal in NYS, and you will need it.

Dr Hymowitz is a terrible excuse for a therapist He is a one man operation and has no concern for his patient whatsoever. He asked for money upfront and said,My ears don't hear until a check is in my hands. Need I say more? His follow up was more of the same ..He responded to my email asking for follow up guidance by saying, I can't help you without a retainer. He is not a lawyer he is a therapist !!!! Hymowitz is a confused ,MERCENARY ,poor excuse for a therapist
