Patrick is an amazing therapist. Kind, smart, and thoughtful. I always feel better after talking with him. He challenges me and I don't always like it but it is always helpful to move me forward.

Pat is one of the best counselors I've ever worked with. He uses techniques and aids that have allowed me to delve deep to remember and describe experiences I'd forgotten, yet impact my relationships today. Soon after we started, I realized that I needed more frequent contact; I had so much to spill! I increased my sessions to two a week. Pat regularly forwards articles and information that are pertinent and helpful. Even between appointments I'll receive a text with an attachment from him. He's always ready to go at the appointed time, we meet online, and he has a terrific secretary that ensures all administrative issues are readily addressed. His session are 45 minutes long, and yes, its easy to get deep into the conversation and lose track of time. He has indeed ended our appointments abruptly, but hey, the way I see it, the man has a schedule to keep. He'll be back!

Patrick is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He has been very helpful in helping me focus on the issues I was having and help me push through those issues. He has many wonderful resources that he is able to share on many different topics. I would highly recommend him!!

I was very excited for my first counseling session with Patrick Hefferan, but left feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed. He gave me a lot of dead-ends and I felt stifled rather than opened up. His feedback was oddly worldly, for example he would give me financial advice rather than discuss how I was feeling, even when I requested to talk about my emotions. He ended the session extremely abruptly and when I expressed that next time I wanted to begin to explore how I could relate differently to the situation I was in, he actually said and I quote "good luck with that". His voice had a snappy attitude and it really stung. I left the session feeling like I had just spoken to my buzzed uncle rather than a therapist. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and maybe he was just having a really off day, but this was my honest experience.
