Patricia Ruddy

I’ve been going to her for years. I have had issues with being passive aggressive and loosing control of my anger. I feel like she has helped me immensely. She is a great listener and I also think she is truly companionate about her work.

My husband and I have been going to Patricia for a number of years. She always falls asleep but I’ve learned how to engage her to keep her eyes open. The only reason I go to her is because my husband picked her and he doesn’t have to be accountable to his poor behavior with her. The straw that broke the camels back is when she told me that my apologies to my husband we’re not sincere. It ripped my heart out that she could say something like that to me.. As a matter of fact it was devastating and I realized I didn’t have a chance. I figured out she just doesn’t like me and favors my husband. I’m a registered nurse. I trusted Her ...but now I am traumatized by her lack of empathy and the fact that she just doesn’t listen.... Probably because she’s asleep with her eyes open.

Patricia Ruddy is a horrible counselor to say the least, she kept NODDING OFF during our session with my daughter and I. At first i was hoping this was not really happening because i was anxious for my daughter to open up about her feelings, but when my daughter also noticed she was falling asleep is when i realized it was true, she made the process of seeking help even more difficult and now my daughter always remembers the counselor who was FALLING ASLEEP during the therapy. make no mistake this was not a case of we were not a fit for each other, she was obviously too tired to be there and she should of had recognized that herself and reschedule our appt. She lacks the kindness that most caregivers should have towards others when needed the most. Total disrespect for our pain and vulnerability.
