Dr. Alfieri should not be practicing with trans patients. I have only had negative experiences with her, had to laugh through uncomfortable comments to save face, and have been spoken over by her more times than I can count. She was only ever extremely vague about my hormone levels and to this day they have not been right because I feel she has not offered the personal attention to detail my chart requires. Sadly, these things are just the norm for trans people who seek a medical transition, but since switching to a practitioner who is compassionate, attentive and attuned, I have discovered my experiences with Dr. Alfieri to be even worse than I initially felt them to be in comparison. I am now dealing with a very traumatic hormone issue that I believe can be partially attributed to Dr. Alfieri’s medical negligence and incompetence. Trans people, we deserve better- do not settle for this.
