Palak Patel, PA

I was initially skeptical about seeing a PA rather than a doctor for my rheumatology needs, but my experience with PA Palak Patel has completely changed my perspective. From the very first appointment, Palak showed an incredible level of expertise and genuine care. She took the time to listen attentively to my concerns and thoroughly address each one. Over the course of last 9 months, her compassionate approach and dedication to finding the best treatment plan have exceeded my expectations. Not only has she helped alleviate my symptoms, but she has also empowered me with knowledge about managing my condition. I am extremely happy with the progress I've made under her guidance, and I highly recommend Palak Patel to anyone seeking exceptional rheumatology care.

I only left a one star review because zero was not an option. I saw Palak for my RA when my previous rheumatologist retired. The appointment lasted 10 minutes, and she literally never looked at me even when I told her I was having issues with my shoulders. Her attitude was very rude and arrogant. She did not have my medical records or any current lab work (both of which were available to her.) Even without this information, she proceeded to tell me I did not have RA and perhaps I wasn't feeling well because I needed to get better sleep. Do not waste your time at this practice, especially if you have RA.

Nice at first but can be very arrogant and dominating in patient care provider meetings. Her communication is mainly facing the computer, not the patient. When you ask question she is very impatient at times. Sometimes she is nice but sometimes not.

Palak Patel is a nice person but lacks experience in Rheumatoid Arthritis. She may be fine for new RA patients but not for those with complicated cases. The practice she works for has a very strict no-steroids-no-matter-what policy that doesn’t take individual patient needs into consideration, leaving some patients feeling like they’re on their own.
