Dr. Ovsanna Leyfer, PHD

My daughter always suffered from anxiety and it became really debilitating when she reached her teens. We went to multiple specialists, tried medication, tried to send her to a summer camp program. Nothing was working and was putting tremendous stress on our family. All changed when we met Dr. Leyfer. She really tried to understand the problem and didn’t dismiss us as it happened many times before. Her approach was simple and straightforward, at times it felt like why nobody suggested this before and why we didn’t figure out it ourselves. It does require work though, but it paid off so great. We worked in person and via zoom. My daughter got a summer job is about to go to college, on her own!!! She also has great comfort knowing if things get rough, she knows where to call for a quick session to get her back on track.

Dr. Leyfer is always responsive, professional and highly supportive. I had a one-on-one Intensive Program with her for one week to address a significant fear of heights that had continued to worsen over the years. Together we addressed my goals and mapped out a plan for the week including a list of on-site visits with varying height conditions. She was very flexible with modifications to this as we summarized at the end of each session and planned for the next. I found her to be extremely patient, compassionate and invested in my success throughout the entire process. I am so pleased with all the tools and experiences she provided me to achieve my goals of being able to sit almost anywhere in stadiums and arenas, maneuver sightseeing attractions, and view from very high vistas with comfort and ease. This has enabled me to now participate in many events that I have been avoiding or fearing for years. I highly recommend Dr. Leyfer.

Dr. Leyfer was a godsend to my family! After years of struggling with my son and his GAD, she helped him regain control and he is now well-adjusted and going to school every day without issue! I never thought this was possible.
