Would Not Recommend
I started seeing Dr. Ramirez in April 2023 to establish care for autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). His bedside manner left much to be desired - he was very short and seemed uninterested in what I had to say. On my second visit, he recommended I get a colonoscopy and endoscopy, explaining this was recommended for my condition. I'd lived with AIH for about 3 years at that point and had never heard that in the past but trusted his expertise. On the day of the procedure, the provider performing the procedure indicated I was there because I had an iron deficiency. I was left feeling disappointed and confused like the hospital was performing an unnecessary and costly procedure completely unrelated to the condition I was being seen for.A few months later, I found out I was pregnant. Dr. Ramirez recommended I stop taking my medication immediately. After consultation with my OBGYN, a second opinion from another gastroenterologist (plus review of many literature reviews), every other provider stated
