Nora Mellett

She's been wonderful. She has a great relationship with her patients. She listens to everything you say, and gives suggestions when I'm struggling rather than to just give you more medications. She is particularly has healthy suggestions if you are going through a difficult trauma. I've had two different psychiatrists who would just give me another pill. She tries to keep medication to a minimum, because the psychs before had me up to 14 different medications. She tries to offer suggestions that are more productive to get through any trauma. If she has to change dosage or medication, then we wait for my body to get used to it and if it doesn't, then we either try a different one or go back to the original and then adjust as needed. You, the patient has to be honest and proactive with your medicine and physical and mental health. That's how she can help you. I just wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

Nora has been a very helpful part of my medical team. She is Friendly, smart, compassionate and is a great listener. She’s always on time for appts and is available to communicate if you have any concerns when you don’t have an appt. I only have had great experiences w her.

I found Nora Mellett(PMHNP-NP), by way of a google search after recently relocating to the area and in need of a new therapist; so far she’s been a godsend. Not only was she extremely helpful and professional, but Ms. Mellett actually LISTENED to me, as I’m going through a rather nasty divorce and her kind demeanor, comfortable(beach themed) office and overall warm personality has made at least this aspect of my life pleasant during this difficult time. I would highly recommend this practice and Nora Mellett’s excellent work as a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner.
