I would in no way feel comfortable recommending Dr Beurkins to anyone. She was unprofessional in every way. she overcharged for appointments and left my daughter feeling worse about herself than when she started therapy.

We have been seeing Dr. Beurkens for just under two years and we have been given a new son. His behaviors at school and his anxiety are virtually non existent. Dr. Beurkens recognized right away what needed to be done to accomplish our goals. Dr. Beurkens is a true one stop shop. From Mental Health to Nutrition, she really knows what she's talking about. We have told several people about Horizons and they all share our excitement and gratitude. We highly recommend Horizons and Dr. Beurkens.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Beurkens for several months for anxiety and depression, and has improved greatly. We appreciate how friendly everyone is in the office. She had seen a few therapists before Dr. Beurkens, but didn’t seem to click with them. This has been an excellent experience and we are grateful for the help our daughter and family has received.

We had a horrible experience at Horizons. Dr. Beurkens took our daughter off medication and claimed she was a defiant, manipulative teen when in fact she was clinically depressed. Dr. Beurkens was often too busy to answer our questions and talked down to us. She made my daughter feel terrible about herself and humiliated us in front of her as well. Further, she disclosed private information regarding another family that was previously in therapy, don't waste your time at Horizons.
