Wonderful, effective, super-smart and warm
Dr. Litinger is an enormously talented and skilled therapist. He's insightful, effective, practical, empathetic, kind and caring. He listens carefully, is super smart and thoughtful, and has a fine sense of humor. He was a huge help to me and my family during and after a divorce. I'm stunned by the negative review - nothing like what I or a friend of mine (who referred me) experienced.

Absolutely awful.
Telehealth
Hard to describe how terrible Neal is. Paternalistic, stern, and uncaring. The man has actively damaged our family.

I cannot begin to describe how awful Litinger is: the English language lacks the words to capture his paternalism, rigidity, and utter contempt for the lived realities of his patients. He has done immeasurable damage to our family. We would have been better served just to watch a Psychology Today YouTube video.

Dr. Litinger is an experienced, extremely intelligent and very relatable therapist. He's intuitive and perceptive and always has insightful and spot on comments to share when needed. I recommend him highly for individual, couples and family therapy. He's the 'gold standard' as far as I'm concerned. I totally disagree with the negative review from Jan. 25, 2017. It doesn't even vaguely describe Dr. Litinger. Scheduling appointments is easy and Dr. Litinger always returns every call.

My experience with Dr. Litinger has been excellent. From the first time I saw him, I felt at ease with him. I believe he does make some conclusions but in my experience they are generally accurate. I find it positive that he makes his own appointments because he actually calls me back. He has cared about our whole family, and has helped all of us in different ways. His empathy and insight have been welcomed and appreciated. I find Neal to "get me" and be an advocate for women which I also appreciate. I think he's great with couples as well. I highly recommend Neal. I like him as a therapist and as a person.

Dr Litinger is an excellent therapist. He is highly intelligent & very knowledgeable in his field. While being very professional, he makes you feel comfortable with the therapeutic process. He also has a great sense of humor. I have referred a number of people to him and all have felt that he helped them greatly with their issues. I would disagree strongly with the review from 1/17. That negative review does not sound like Dr Litinger at all!

Stay away and find a real therapist! I had a exploratory session with Neil. Scheduling was a pain since he's the one booking the appointments, lots of phone tagging along the way. He spend some time asking normal exploratory questions and close to the end of the session, he communicated his own conclusions. Why would I look for therapy if he thinks my case was a foregone conclusion? Terrible experience, i would recommend to stay away and look for a real therapist.
