Nancy has won my trust; her professional skills, years of experience and wisdom have helped me explore deeply areas I have avoided for many years. Best of all, we can even laugh together as we examine this tricky business of living.

I would definitely say this therapist has room for major improvement. Sessions were fine to begin with but then there seemed to be a very abrupt and sudden shift in her attitude towards me. All of a sudden, I felt very judged and like my feelings were completely invalidated. It felt more like I was being reprimanded for feeling the way I did. I left my last session feeling very upset by her and a lot worse off than before I went in. In fact, I cried the whole day. I felt like her advice was very unprofessional and was with very little empathy or understanding for my situation. I will not be going back. Also, on at least two appointments I waited well over my appointment time to see her. One time, I waited 20/25 mins past my scheduled time.

Nancy Yaffe (a therapist NOT a doctor) is one of the most insightful therapists I have ever worked with. She is very experienced and helpful in working through issues. I have found her to be one of the best therapists in Madison. I highly highly recommend her.

I was compelled by my session yesterday with Nancy to respond to the previous review, which gave me pause in pursuing choosing to work with Ms. Yaffe. She came highly recommended from several friends...so I was surprised by this review. In all honesty, I want to confirm that she is a 'fiery' personality. Beyond that I ask that those in search of a compassionate, empathetic, and results focused counselor consider this consummate professional. I am thankful to have found her.

Those in search of a compassionate, rational doctor, look elsewhere. Nancy has a fiery personality with sudden outbursts of uncontrollable anger and aggression, especially towards those who disagree with or question her. She is insulting and completely unprofessional in and out of the office. Beware.
