My wife works at Lahey and I have my insurance coverage through my wife's plan. Went for a physical 2 days ago and was less than impressed. She ignored my questions regarding issues I was having as a side effect of meds prescribed. She decided before even completing the exam, and without getting to know anything about me, that she wanted to recommend weight loss surgery. I specifically told her I was not interested in that. Today 2 days later I get a call from Lahey's weight loss surgery office saying Monica Dube entered orders into my chart to consult with them. Completely unprofessional and demonstrates a total lack of respect for the patient.

Monica Dube has been a terrific dr. She stays on top of testing needs and diagnosis. She will respond to a question by email within a few hours. She is very careful about the mediine she prescribes. I highly recommend her. Very down to earth and caring.

If I can give her 0 stars, I would! If you can see a different NP or MD, you definitely should. She is very unprofessional and does not listen to what you have to say or how you feel about your health. The vibe that I get from her is she hates her job and don't care about patients. Avoid her at all costs!

I left Lahey because of Monica Dube. I have never before been treated so poorly by a medical practitioner. I found her to be rude, unprofessional and generally off-putting. She seemed intent on making me feel badly about my health and wellness. I always appreciate straightforwardness and honesty from my doctor, but shaming language and behavior is not okay. I strongly recommend finding another Nurse Practitioner.

After pulling out my back and spending 3 days in bed, I was driven to Lahey only to find that Dr Dube had no interest in diagnosing or offering advice or next steps to get to root cause to prevent this from reoccurring. She didn't even examine me. She just said there is nothing they can do and I should just wait it out. She could have told me this over the phone and saved me the trip. Even though the pain was horrific, she was afraid to prescribe anything for pain for fear of the DEA. Horrible.

She's been my primary for over 20 years. She cares about you and your family. She got a diagnostic right when no one else did (several "expert in field" Doctors at every famous hospital in Boston area). Everyone she referred me to outside the hospital were also all caring and knew what they were doing. I can trust her with my life.

She was extremely rude and did not listen to my description of my symptoms, nor did she take into account my medical history. A follow up visit to a specialist revealed that her diagnosis was wrong.

As an RN, I found her to lack good assessment skills/diagnosing. She neglects to order diagnostic resting. Yes, most times her demeanor is pleasant, but often rushed, do not confuse this with good nursing practice.
