Do not walk, RUN AWAY. She did not seem to feel I was “qualified” to use big words or understand what was happening to me, since I’m only a housewife. She did not care, or even believe, that I was getting rapidly sicker on the meds she gave me. This despite knowing I was in treatment for PTSD resulting from prior medical abuse. Guess I’m the only person in America stupid enough to get caught in a Conn scam twice. First Eric, then Monica. I quickly became too debilitated to make it to therapy appointments. Finally on my GP’s advice, I simply disappeared from New Directions altogether. FIVE YEARS later, I still have brain damage and trauma I will NEVER get over. RUN AWAY. Avoid her, avoid the entire practice.

I am highly satisfied with Dr. Conn. As a medical professional, her commitment to objectivity resulted in appropriate and effect treatment. I've also found her to be pleasant as well as engaging and have no intentions of changing from her care.

I would definitely recommend Monica! She’s so nice and has helped my anxiety tremendously!

I really like Dr. Conn. I think she is supportive and listens to what you have to say. She remembers a lot of what I tell her, regardless of how many other patients she see. I think she is trustworthy and I am very comfortable telling her personal things about my life.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Conn for over 2 years now. I loved her at first. She always had back up plans. She wasn’t a pill pusher. After a while, I felt my feelings weren’t being acknowledged or taken seriously. She tried several times to get me to go to an IOP program when I felt it was unnecessary. It felt like she was trying to get rid of me. After I had a reverse affect on my medication and ended up in the ER, she told me it was the medicine. A year later she told me it wasn’t the medication. After my last visit, I have no plan to go back to her. I started seeing a therapist outside the office. She didn’t like the idea of it, but I insisted that I like her and felt comfortable with her. She told me that if I have another depressive episode that she would ask me to seek help elsewhere. It was very unprofessional and not encouraging.

She works with you to find the right combination of medications. She always keeps in mind your best interest. I really respect her because she even said when I feel ready, she will help me lower the dose over time. She also is really knowledgable. I'm moving, but I decided to drive an hour out of my way to keep her as my psychiatrist.

Thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. Spends as much time as needed at each appointment. Easy to talk to and down to earth.

I echo the sentiments of other people here - she looks at her computer the entire time and is very dismissive towards you. Her treatment wasn't working, I felt worse, and I eventually ended up in the hospital. At my first follow-up with her out of the hospital she screamed and yelled at me and refused to fill out my FMLA because I wouldn't switch to one of her counselors (I loved my therapist and at the time she was the only person helping me). I ended up losing my job.

Dr. Conn seems to have entered the exact field that she should be in. She is a knowledgable and relatable clinician who manages to strike a delicate balance between professionalism and humanity. Highly recommend.

I have been seeing Monica Conn for almost 2 years now, and I have not had a good experience to say the least. She is unattentive during appointments. She doesn't look up from her computer and often doesn't answer me when I ask questions. She is unable to hear my concerns about medication changes and prescribes me meds that I am clearly uncomfortable with and then becomes angry when I don't take said meds. She makes me feel unheard, and I leave every session angry. Don't even waste your time.

Ignored me in my exams to type on her computer. Refused to listen to complaints and feeling I had on medications she prescribed to me, also she has weird rules she makes up for you to get the actual treatment she should jist be providing baseline.
