Molly Donovan, LMHC

I recently had a consultation with Molly, whom I worked with years ago, and I was eager to connect with her again as l'd been struggling with an abusive work environment. Unfortunately, I was left feeling disappointed and violated after our session. I expressed to Molly why I was seeking therapy, and she almost jokingly implied that I should talk about my family. This felt intrusive, as it wasn't something I had offered up on my own. I laughed it off, but when I continued to share my desire for therapy, she abruptly asked if I had any life-threatening illnesses. I was caught off guard by this question, as it felt like an incredibly insensitive way to address such a sensitive topic.The whole experience felt rushed, as if she assumed she could easily secure a former client without truly engaging in the process.
