Apathetic About a Child’s Prescription
I had an appointment scheduled for my 5 year old son to check for a lazy eye and receive a general examination.Firstly, the place is listed under two names (calling the Boardman, Ohio: “First Choice Eye Care” connects you to them, so we had no idea where our appointment even was).After my son’s examination I asked Dr. Mike Thimons to explain his prescription to me so that I could order my son glasses. The man was flippant and rude in front of my son - shrugging and telling me that whoever I get my glasses from can explain it to me, instead. I explained that I need to order them online for the price, and he simply shrugged and turned his back to my son and I - rather than answer a simple question regarding the prescriptions he had jotted down on a piece of paper - nearly illegibly.I was ashamed to have to explain to my son that people like Dr. Mike exist in this world, and that we have to try to be better than they are to make up for the negative effect

Kind, Thorough & Good Experiences
Have seen Dr Thimons for a few years now...he is ALWAYS friendly, ALWAYS takes time to explain things & very pleasant visit. I recommended other family to him & all reported good experiences. I don’t think I’ll switch eye doctors ever again. Highly recommend.
