Rude Staff
I should have gone with my gut, but I gave this place another shot just because of my insurance.I don't know why they keep the dark hair receptionist. She is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I will NOT return!I've seen many complaints about here online & I feel like the Dr is just too old to care who runs the office now & that's why she's still there.

GO ELSEWHERE
Went to Dr Kucher for years because he accepted my insurance coverage, but after being offended for the final time by the rude staff I decided to try another office. WOW! The other office was so pleasant! Plus, my visit and glasses only cost me $35 with my insurance (ALWAYS over $300 at Dr Kucher)… unless you enjoy throwing your money away and being insulted as soon as you walk through the door GO ELSEWHERE!

First of all when I was making the appointment they said they had no availability for over a month. I went there years ago and liked them so I decided to wait it out. I go to my appointment 45 days later and when I get there, I am the only person in the place, not one other customer. So I am now thinking, I waited that long when they have hardly any customers? I didn't even really get started after asking what the cost would be. They told me they could not be exact until I got my eye exam done and to just pick out frames for now. The prices on the frames were hidden so I asked them what the starting (lowest) price would be for progressive lenses in "any" frame. They told me it starts at $250 out of pocket plus my insurance. I told them the price was ridiculous and no wonder they didn't want to discuss it. They then refused to answer any more questions until I got my eye exam. I told them, "Why would I get my eye exam here, if I need to get the glasses elsewhere?" Also, from what I read on their reviews, they do not like to give out your prescription so you have to spend a fortune there. Then they started throwing out other prices. I didn't realize eye doctors were now like dealing with a used car salesman. This place is NOTHING like it was when Kucher was in Burgettstown. So I called and went to America's Best 3 days later, (yes, 3 days to be seen vs 45 days), and got the eye exam and glasses with progressive lenses for $8.95 total with insurance. You may want to roll that idea around before wasting your time or getting ripped off. Do you want to pay $10 or $300??

Dr. Kucher is an excellent optometrist who cares about his patients. He will take the time to carefully examine your eyes - not like the "revolving door" eye clinics that treat you more like a number than a patient. I highly recommend him. I have poor eyesight. But I know I can trust Dr. Kucher to give me the very best, most up-to-date care. He is wonderful with my kids too. I also enjoyed browsing though their wide selection of frames - and received my order in a quick timely manner.

My appointment was on October 31st. When I ordered my glasses, I was told 7-10 days for them to arrive. It is now November 18th and its a Friday, which means I have to add another 2 days to the waiting. I have called 3 times now to ask if they are in, each time I am told no, we will call you, or that has been a long time. No reason why its been so long. Other than that everyone was nice and did a very nice job helping me.
