Negligent
I transitioned to Melissa because my med physician had resigned. First visit, I requested a med change. She agreed but asked what MG I wanted to start on. She is the rendering provider. I am not. I did reply with a small dose so that I could work my way up. She said she was fine with that. I went to pick up my prescriptions. She failed to call in my starter meds. Pharmacist said she did not feel comfortable in the slightest starting me out on a high dose of this drug. She said it would be bad. She said it would mess me up. Had I not a pharmacy that did their job correctly, I could be dead now. So no, I would not recommend Melissa McCarter.

I have been seeing Ms. McCarter for about 2 years now and I cannot recommend her enough. She is kind and compassionate, but also quick and very knowledgeable about what she does. I have had to switch around my prescriptions multiple times to find the right mixture, and every time she is very understanding of my symptoms and eager to help me find the right fit. Great experience!

The front desk is not attentive at her office. They know you’re calling, but refuse to answer. You’ll be lucky to receive a call back in the afternoon. There have been too many times where I have been without my medication. Sometimes it feels like a scam knowing that I pay a hefty amount to have a 15min call just to get my next prescription. Ive been prescribed the same medication for years so you would think theyd stop asking if the medicine is still working. Of course if it wasn’t, I’d call and tell you but you don’t answer in the first place. Recommendations: - Update your systems so people can get in touch with you besides having to call the inattentive front desk “workers” - Hire better front desk associates - Don’t be so greedy

Unprofessional in that you can't get them to return phone calls or even get them to pick up the phone period. I was trying to get ahold of them today as a new client, but apparently they do not want to speak with you. Also have a friend who has been having issues as well. Would not recommend.

Melissa truly cares about her patients. She was able to fit me in as a first time patient during a time at my lowest and has continually kept up with me and helped manage my medications. Melissa has also referred to other therapists in the area and made sure I received the help I needed. I feel very lucky to have found her!

There is a reason she answers to Dr. Burnisde, Melissa McCarter is by far the worst most greedy person at this office!! Laurel Management is great, the staff and Dr. Burnside are phenomenal. but Melissa McCarter is not interested and gives you no time at all.

She is a very attentive and kind person. Telehealth is wonderful during the pandemic. She listens to what your needs are and accepts your input on your own treatment. The office workers are always kind and efficient.

Always willing to discuss issues and work with you. Always has been on time. She takes notes with just you and her (no scribe) so it seems very private. Front office is very efficient which can seem rude but brush it aside, I have seen their sweet side too. Besides, medical personnel and those on front lines should not be judged like hotels. Their office building would be a challange (but I am sure there is an elevator somewhere)for anyone with physical disabilities as pending knee surgery enlightens me.....

Shes a kind woman and i was seen and prescribed something in a timely manner. She was not tactful in discussing trauma. She may be better for depression or other issues.

Friendly staff & providers. Extremely laid back environment but very professional. Patient care seems to be top priority with her. I didn't feel judged the least bit. She wanted to know what I thought would work for me. She made transitioning over to this office completely easy & unstressful. I would recommend her for sure. If only all providers' offices worked this well.

Showed up 15 mins. early for 2:00 appt. as was stressed by staff to do. At 2:28 p.m., still sitting in waiting room with no apologies, explanations, etc. This lack of disrespect and consideration for patient's time is completely unexcusable.
