Megan Scarcello

Our experience with Megan lasted for 18 months and from the beginning it was a completely different experience than we've had with most other providers - it was immediately clear that Megan is dedicated, passionate about her work, passionate about our child, flexible, nonjudgmental and supportive, consistent, courteous, and approaching her work as a joint learning experience, although don't let her humility fool you - she's an expert. I know my son considers her to be one of his first friends and she has undoubtedly been a friend to our whole family. Not just a wonderful service provider, but also a wonderful and kind person as well.

Megan was our speech therapist for about a year. I know she's good at her job because in between our time with her with had a different therapist who did not help or offer any good guidance for our son. Megan was so engaging, even using telehealth over a screen. My son looked forward to working with her each week, and we saw a huge improvement with his vocabulary over our time with her. I highly recommend Megan. She was a joy to work with and we're sad our son aged out of early intervention because we would have loved to continue to work with her.

Megan is committed, compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced, and hard-working. She is the BEST anyone could ever ask for in an SLP. I’ve had two children work with her from around 6 months to three years old, and they had great speech and language development under her care. She also takes whatever time is necessary to answer a family’s questions and provide resources.

Megan is not just an SLP, Megan is an angel on earth. My son started with Megan when he was around 20 months old and almost totally nonverbal. Now at 3 years old, he can not only speak but he speaks with confidence and purpose. She taught him that his voice has power and meaning. My twin daughter started with Megan at 2.5 years old for feeding therapy because she is so texture and visually avoidant to certain foods. With lots of new language and knowledge that Megan provided, my daughter can confidently explore foods and has vastly expanded her palette. Not only has Megan been the most wonderful SLP there is to offer to children, she has been a constant support for me, the mom. Communication has always been a top priority for her and I am so very grateful for it. She is a treasure trove of knowledge and creative ideas (which often lead to solutions). From extra sessions on weekends, to carryover work after every session, Megan has guided our family into a very wonderful present day

Megan is the best of the best! My child was nonverbal before meeting Megan. She is extremely attentive to both the child and parent! She worked with us to help teach us parents how to continue skills outside of sessions which helped tremendously. I myself learned so many different ways to implement speech and language or feeding outside of sessions thanks to Megan. She is very conscious of the child’s and parents needs and comfort zones and is very successful in her methods that we have tried! My child went from not being able to speak, to finally being able to say I love you, 3 word sentences, and requesting her needs daily etc! She is always on time and very thorough in sessions! We are forever grateful to her being a part of our journey and helping our child and family flourish!

Megan is absolutely an amazing pure loving soul! She is amazing at what she does! Us parents n most importantly our children that get to work with Megan, are truly blessed and grateful. We appreciate you Megan and most importantly will miss you and our sessions!

Megan is very effective... we only had her for a few weeks and my little one is communicating better and expressing himself.. she is patient and knowledgeable. I recommend her highly

Megan was always very attentive and brought lots of positive energy to every session. She was open to exploring my child’s needs from a larger perspective and incorporated everything into addressing their needs. It was a pleasure to work with her.

Megan is truly an amazing teacher. The progress that I saw with my son in just a few months was incredibly. We are so sad that we won’t see l her anymore and will miss her tremendously! She is one of a kind for sure !

So where do I begin? I must say that Megan is the most sweetest and amazing person I have ever met. My daughter has been doing zoom therapy sessions with Megan for a few months. Zoom can sometimes be hard for a toddler to follow directions and listen but my daughter did amazing with Megan. I would say to my daughter that it is time for Ms. Megan and she would stop what she is doing to get online to meet with her. My daughter began services with Megan with not being able to talk and say more than 2 to 3 words, nor did she speak using sentences and now the improvement is beyond what I expected. I am so glad that we got to work with Megan.

Megan is simply the best Speech-Language Pathologist I have ever met. As an Occupational Therapy provider, I have a lot of experience working with Speech providers and all I can say, is that Megan is the best and goes above and beyond for her clients. She is so thorough, personable, knowledgable, flexible, and kind. I only have WONDERFUL things to say about her. My son made HUGE gains in his feeding and language goals while working with Megan. Not only were her sessions great, she always went above and beyond to send resources and other ideas to work with my son outside of therapy. I will genuinely miss her sessions now that my son has 'graduated' from Speech. I cannot say it enough- if you are looking for a Speech provider, look no further. Megan is the BEST there is. My son would not be as advanced as he is without her. Not only a wonderful Speech Therapist, but just a wonderful person in general. Absolutely the best!!!!

We were linked with Megan during the pandemic and she supports my twin girls. Her patience, creativity, and dedication. Really allowed the girls to thrive. At first I was nervous because all sessions were remote, but Megan made this process easy. She captivated the girls attention, every session. Some sessions were play, some were learning and at the end she would even incorporate sing-alongs, which the girls loved. We we were blessed to have her, and if your family is fortunate, you will be blessed too.

My 2 year old was completely non-verbal when we met Megan. We were relying solely on pointing, grunt, and sign language to communicate. It was becoming frustrating and defeating for all of us, including my son who was unable to communicate his needs. We had been with a speech therapist in-person for 4 months and our son had not gained a single word. I requested that we switch speech therapists and I was skeptical to switch to a virtual therapist- but from the very beginning Megan was incredible. She was so engaging and clearly passionate about helping my son. She gave us tools to use at home to help him, and within weeks, my son was finally saying his first words. Megan is amazing and helped our son blossom in more ways than one.

Megan was very attentive to what my child was receptive to. She even gave me tips to do at home. Overall, she's awesome!

Megan found ways to accommodate to my son and the way he learns best. She was always trying to find better ways to keep him engaged and learn while having fun. Telehealth with a 2 yr old is difficult. When she realized he was distracted or not into the session without it throwing a wrench she would find something new to bring him back. There were times where his twin was present during sessions- she would include him and use the fact he was there to practice and introduce new parts of language. Wishing we could keep her in our transition. We had our last session and my boys keep asking for “Ms.Megan”

We have been working with Megan for over a month and I can't say enough about her. She is fun, engaging, professional, and compassionate. We have seen so much progress with our son in such a short time, I'm sorry we didn't try these virtual sessions sooner.

I was very skeptical about virtual feeding sessions but Megan really amazed me from the start! She was very supportive and went out of her way to really explain the process. She was very encouraging for both me and my son, especially in rough days and would cheer us both on. So happy to have had Megan be a part of our journey.
