She strikes me as someone who has been trained by the pharmaceutical companies. She was really firm about my husband taking the statin drug at its full dosage. When we raised concerns about the side effects of taking the drug, such as how it has possibly raised his glucose level ( he was considered to be fully diabetic about a year ago), she was pretty dismissive. I shared another doctor’s take on this matter, which she didn’t want to consider even though he has been practicing much longer than she has. This doctor is one the regular medical professionals my husband sees and he had told my husband to cut back the statin by half, but Megan told my husband that he needs to take the full dosage. She seemed to be very rigid. And was only focused on getting his numbers to a particular level whether it be his cholesterol or blood pressure and insisted that taking the drugs prescribed will get him there. She was not open minded enough to look at the matter from another perspective.
