Did not feel cared for or respected
I visited Dr.Velasco in mid August 2024 for some back pain. Dr. Velasco does not have a secretary or a work number. The number on his site is his personal number and when I called to get more information, Dr. Velasco answered with 'Hello' as if this was a personal conversation. After hesitantly booking an appointment with him that same day, I let him know i'm having trouble with my day-to-day due to back pain. After, he lays me down and touches my back for 1-2 minutes to feel around and decides that I have no trauma or spinal injury.He recommends some stretches and teaches me proper form that I already know. No x-rays, no follow up care, no adjustments, no NOTHING.Here's the kicker. After we conclude, I ask Dr. Velasco about insurance as his website claims to accept. He say's he only accepts cash and charges $130 an hour. This was not discussed at the time of making a appointment. I visited a separate Chiropractor later on who recommended I write this review in hopes people will see

Dr Velasco was referred to me by a coworker saying good things about him. I had some sciatica that was bothering for months now and figured to take up this opportunity to get in touch with a doctor that was review personally by someone I knew. Dr Velasco has great people skills and immediately put me at ease by chit chatting about various subjects. When it got down to the diagnosis, he not only narrowed down my sciatica but also some other health issues I had as well. It's now the fifth or sixth week and I actually look forward to my appointments with him. My issues definitely have gotten better and after treatment, I do feel golden for a few days. I would gladly recommend him to friends and family in need of a chiropractor.

Dr. Velasco has helped me with a lot of my pain problems. He would focus on massage, acupuncture and was all around a great doctor! I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for this kind of doctor!
