Dr. Matthew Wester, AUD

My husband had appointment with Wester at 8:00 a.m. today with text note to arrive at 7:45. Husband is a frequent patient at Mayo; we knew his information was current so check in would be quick. There was traffic congestion that caused us to be slightly late. I called scheduling when we were on the 101 Loop passing the Mayo Hospital complex. Asked the Mayo representative if she would notify the Audiology Department that we would be at Wester’s office before 8:15 a.m. The representative volunteered that at the time I called his office was not open. We checked in at Station 3 before 8:15 a.m. The rep who checked us in called someone to be sure it would be all right to check my husband in. She checked us in. Staff took us immediately. Western met us saying he could not do a full appointment. Told us we could come back in the afternoon or another day. Gave etiquette lecture on how we need to leave earlier to be on time. At that point I said, “Oh please”. Managed to be polite. Left.
