Dr. Matthew Burkart, OD

I was under routine eye care with Dr. Burkhart twice in the past 2.5 years, and both times he examined my eyes in a professional manner and left me satisfied that my eyes are in good care.

I had an appointment after waiting 3 months to get one. I was on my way, left in plenty of time, but got caught in traffic. I notified the office that was going to be about 10 minutes late. I finally get to the hospital, and in the elevator to the office and they then call me and tell me that I have to reschedule and they won’t see me!? Absolutely ridiculous!!! I spent two hours of my time and gas, and they would not even try to fit me in somewhere, and due to no fault of my own! I would offer no stars if I could, but I can tell you that I will never recommend this office or the Dr. To anyone!! I was of the belief that Community cared about its patients, but I am not seeing any evidence of that with this Community Partner! Totally ticked off!

I have seen Dr. Matthew Burkhart twice now at Community Eye Care of Indiana and both times he was thorough, caring and professional.

Unfortunately I missed my last eye appointment due to having surgery. I am unable to drive, and on medical leave until such time as I’m fully healed and able to move my arm. My contact prescription lapsed. While attempting to do as much as possible at home, like.... order contacts. I requested my script be extended to support an appointment. Not only would he not extend it, he wanted to schedule me an appointment that I can’t get to anyways. This office has continually gone down hill since 2016. Please remove patient focus from your brand. The only focus is the out of focus eye sight I have while trying to find a NEW eye doctor! Never again!
